A healthy complexion is so important. Usually there is an underlying problem that needs to be solved from from inside your body. I'm going to share some healthy foods that will help your complexion from the inside out.

PART ONE: Healthy Complexion Food

First things first.. Start with your inside, your diet. You can't just eat junk food everyday and expect to have radiant skin. A dull, dry complexion is an undeniable sign that you're not eating right. Lets put our best face forward! Here are some super healthy, antioxidant rich foods that can benefit your complexion.

1. Cottage Cheese: Dairy is mostly know for healthy, strong bones. But it is also very good for your skin, and in Cottage Cheese's case it's the selenium not the calcium that aids in a glowing complexion. Selenium is an essential mineral that joins forces with vitamin E to create a potent free radical fighting antioxidant team! Plus, it helps protect against skin cancer; for all you sunnies out there, and fights dandruff!

2. Avocados: This smooth green fruit offers phenomenal benefits to the skin. They are packed with essential oils and vitamins, A, D, and E!, that will nourish your skin. These essential oils work internally to nourish and maintain skin tone. And you can also use avocado topically! They are very hydrating and effortlessly combat rough, dry or flaky skin.

3. Sweet Potatoes: These bright orange colored vegetables definitely work wonders on your complexion. Sweet Potatoes contain large amounts of Beta Carotene; an antioxidant that encompasses protective qualities that defend against damage that sun exposure will cause. And as we know, the sun is the NUMBER 1 cause of wrinkles and premature aging!!!

4. Salmon: This is one of the healthiest fish you can consume. It contains one of the richest concentrations Omega-3 fatty acids. These healthy fats are very nourishing and in turn reduce the production of inflammatory substances, decreasing clogged pores and preventing fine lines and wrinkles!

5. Turkey: This meat has a high concentration of Zinc. This mineral is known to help maintain collagen and elastin fibers that preserve skin's elasticity and firmness. Try making a turkey salad with spinach because spinach also contains high quantities of Zinc. Double dose!
